Privacy Statement 

Through this Privacy Statement I (Marijke de Jong) provide information on the processing of personal data of website visitors and interested parties who contact me via myrumia.com ("website"). I describe how and for what purposes my Rumia processes your personal data, how you can exercise your privacy rights and any other information that may be relevant to you.

For which purposes do I use your data?

For sending newsletters

If you have indicated that you would like to receive my newsletters and have given your permission to do so, I will use the e-mail address you have provided to provide you with such information. For this purpose, I will process your contact details such as your e-mail address, name, contact preferences, and correspondence with me. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To enable you to contact me (including via social media)

If you contact me via marijke@myrumia.com, by phone or via the contact form on the website, I will use your personal data to answer your question. For this purpose, I will process your name, contact details (such as e-mail address or telephone number), your question and other personal data that you yourself have provided or are necessary to answer your question. I am active on social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp and Voxer. When you contact me through a social media platform, I process your personal data (such as your account name and message) to answer your questions and respond to your messages. I may do this through the communication channel you have chosen to contact me.

To comply with the law

In some cases, I may process your personal data to comply with laws and regulations. This is for example the case when tax or business related obligations need to be fulfilled. To comply with relevant laws and regulations, I may need to disclose your personal data to government agencies or regulatory authorities.For this purpose, I will process your personal data that I am legally obliged to provide.

Who has access to your personal data?

Your personal details are only accessible to me. I will not provide your personal data to third parties without informing you and, where necessary, receiving your permission.

Access to your personal details by external parties

The following third parties may have access to your personal data in order to provide me with their products or services:

  • Hosting Service Provider: Wix

  • Mail Service Provider: MailChimp, Google Mail

  • Analytical statistics: Google Analytics

Where these third parties process your personal data (possibly on my behalf), I will take the necessary contractual, technical and organisational measures to ensure that your personal data is only processed to the extent necessary. These external parties will only process your personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation.

How long are my personal data kept? 

Your personal are kept until they are no longer needed for the purposes for which I process your personal data.

How can I exercise my privacy rights? 

You have the right to access your personal data and, under certain conditions, to rectify and/or delete your personal data. In certain cases you also have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object and the right to data transfer (data portability). To exercise one (or more) of these rights, please contact me using the contact details at the bottom of this Privacy Statement. To make sure that you are who you say you are, I may ask for additional information to verify your identity. If you have given permission for the processing of your personal data for a certain purpose as described above, you can withdraw your permission at any time (e.g. via the link to unsubscribe from receiving newsletters). Please note that withdrawing your consent does not have retroactive effect.
